The Importance of Knowing your Transits

This is a short blog post. The other day, I called the dentist because I had been having some mild tooth pain. I knew he was wanting to pull out my last wisdom tooth (teeth are represented by the planet Saturn), but I had successfully put it off last visit because I didn’t want to go through with it yet.

Last week I decided, with the pain persisting, that it needed to get pulled. I called the dentist to make an appointment, not thinking about the timing, but the receptionist suggested the very next afternoon. I quickly tried to think what was happening with Saturn right then, and sure enough, I knew there weren’t too many aspects happening at the moment, but Saturn was sextiling Jupiter, which is the planet of luck. (and sextiles are positive, supportive aspects). So I agreed to the appointment, and what do you know, I nervously go get my tooth pulled, and the dentist and the hygienist go on and on about how easily it came out. Whew! Success! Transits are secondary to me, I’m stronger with the psychological aspect of astrology, but this is why you always need to have a general idea of the astrological weather- in case you spontaneously have to schedule a surgery!
